Mainely Burgers has closed its last storefront in the Boston area to focus on other ventures. The Maine-based food truck business shut down its Boston Landing location on Monday, Oct. 27, according to an Instagram post. Despite making “the tough decision” to close the storefront, the owners of Mainely Burgers said the change “marks the start of an exciting new chapter” for them. “Over the past few years, we’ve moved back home to Maine, expanded our food truck operations — Mainely Burgers, Mainely Treats, and Mainely Sips — and recently opened Barber Brothers Meat + Provisions, our full-service butcher shop and market in South Portland," owners and brothers Jack and Max Barber wrote in the post. “As we plant roots and start families, this transition reflects both our personal journey and the next evolution of our business,” the owners continued. “We’re endlessly grateful to our incredible Mainely Burgers team — many of whom we’ve known for more than a decade. It’s been a privilege to learn, grow, and cook alongside you. Te Amo." The Barber brothers first launched Mainely Burgers as a food truck business in 2012, according to the company’s website. Mainely Burgers serves several signature burgers such as The Main-Ah!, Le Eifel and Red, White & Bleu. The brothers soon expanded from serving burgers and fries at Scarborough Beach to bringing food trucks to the Portland-Cape Elizabeth area, which are still available for bookings today. Mainely Burgers made its Massachusetts debut when the brothers opened a Cambridge restaurant in 2016. That storefront closed in 2023, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. “To the Boston Landing community, our suppliers, and most of all our customers — thank you. Your support and love for great food and community have made our time here truly unforgettable," the Barber brothers wrote in the Instagram post. “Though we’re closing this chapter in Boston, we’re not going far. If you’re ever in Maine, come visit us — we’d love to see you. Our 2026 Maine Food Truck season is right around the corner.”
