Sangareddy: Mahitha, a not-for-profit organisation, distributed scholarships of Rs 10,000 each to around 75 girl students studying in Class 10 at government schools across Sadasivapet mandal. The initiative was undertaken in collaboration with Prince Pipes Private Limited. K Balachandram, a representative of Mahitha, handed over the cheques to the students in the presence of Additional Collector B Chandrashekhar and RD Maduri. The NGO also distributed career guidance books to the beneficiaries. Mahitha has been working across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to promote gender equality, protect child rights, and improve education and livelihood opportunities for the poor and underprivileged in both rural and urban areas. Additional Collector Chandrashekhar appreciated the NGO’s efforts and commended its service to the community. Mahitha also launched a toll-free number (1800 233 8899) to offer career counselling for students.
