Mahabubabad teacher Dr Gurunadha Rao appointed as NGC Brand Ambassador

Mahabubabad: A physics and chemistry teacher and researcher from Mahabubabad district, Dr. V. Gurunadha Rao has been appointed as the Environmental Education Brand Ambassador of National Green Corps (NGC), Telangana.
The National Green Corps (NGC) is an environmental education programme sponsored by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and monitored by the Department of Environment, Forest, Science and Technology in Telangana State. NGC Director WG Prasanna Kumar handed over the appointment orders to Dr. Gurunadha Rao recently.
As the NGC coordinator and master trainer in Mahabubabad district, he has extensively organised environmental conservation and awareness programmes at the school level and played a key role in promoting environmental awareness among students and teachers.
Under Dr. Gurunadha Rao’s leadership, Mahabubabad district received special recognition by participating in the Conference of the Parties (COP) Biodiversity International UNO Conference held in Hyderabad.
In the Students’ Environmental Congress and National Level Environmental Competitions, the talents of the students of Mahabubabad district have also been specially appreciated by the authorities and public representatives.
Dr. Gurunadha Rao’s commitment, 20 years experience in environmental service and leadership promoted environmental awareness among students, teachers and schools.
On this occasion, Mahabubabad District Education Officer, HVNP Dakshinsamurthy congratulated Dr. Gurunadha Rao and expressed confidence that more schools, teachers, and students would become active participants in environmental conservation activities under his guidance.
