A Married At First Sight UK star has slammed the show's edit after what was an intense commitment ceremony. Tuesday's instalment (October 27), saw this week's commitment ceremony as it was crunch time for some couples. As the cast sat in front of the relationship experts once more, some home truths were shared. It comes following an explosive dinner party at the couples' retreat with Julia-Ruth coming under fire for her behaviour towards her partner Divarni as well as stating her attraction to Steven, Nelly's husband. At the commitment ceremony on Monday, Steven told the experts there had been several arguments within his relationship with Nelly, adding: "I felt one of them was extremely petty. "At the dinner party Nelly's whole argument with Julia-Ruth and I was sitting there thinking 'oh my god my name's come up again, this is going on longer than what it should, we're getting nowhere fast', I was already frustrated at that." As Nelly admitted she would've liked "more support", relationship expert Charlene also added they would have liked to have seen more support for Nelly. Steven replied: "But I wanted them two to talk and hash things out and I thought in that moment it didn't need other people. I don't want to jump into something then it feels like I'm the aggressor." Now, Steven has taken to Instagram stories to slam the show's edit. He wrote: "Wow! If you're going to edit the show, at least make it should like it flows... how robotic am I sounding here. "The petty argument I was on about wasn't the Julia-Ruth & Nelly fall-out, it was down to a row over Becs wanting to pluck my eyebrows to which I said yes to. "Nelly wasn't happy because she had asked me back in the honeymoon (when I said no) and she felt rejected. That's what felt petty to me, arguing over eyebrows! "Honestly, if they wanna play this game... then I'll start playing this game back... "Oh & I didn't expect the 'stay for now in week two as well by the way. So, where was my vox from there?" During the commitment ceremony, Steven admitted he wanted an "emotional" relationship first as he said: "I do need to show a lot more, the communication needs to happen a lot more for sure." When it came to decision time, Nelly wrote stay as Steven also wrote stay (for now), which appeared to have come as a shock to Nelly. Steven added: "This is the last week where things need to click for both of us." He added he would need to "tap out of the experiment" should he be unable to "provide for Nelly what she needs from me and vice versa". Speaking to the cameras, he said: "My feelings for Nelly right now are diminishing, it feels like anything I do isn't good enough. "what's bothering me the most is I'm the only one who's ever got homework in this marriage. There's two people involved in this and I think something needs to change drastically because pretty soon I'll be dropping my wedding ring off." MAFS UK continues tonight at 9pm on E4.
