MAFS UK fans predict 'they're doomed' as tensions rise between brides

Fans of Married at First Sight UK viewers have predicted a new couple’s fate after an awkward exchange during their big day.

On Tuesday night (September 23rd), viewers saw 35-year-old business owner Leah tie the knot with 30-year-old Leigh from Romford.

Before walking down the aisle, Leigh expressed that she was deeply spiritual and revealed she planned to give her new wife a rose quartz crystal.

The Romford-based bride also explained that she is attracted to women who are masculine, while Leah described her perfect bride as feminine.

But as soon as the duo came face to face, Leigh instantly felt doubt. Speaking to the producers, she said: “She’s absolutely stunning but I’m not sure if she does have a masculine side. So, am I going to fancy her? In this moment I don’t feel like I do. S***.”

Her uncertainties were only fuelled after she gifted Leah the crystal and the business owner handed the rose quartz to the wedding officiant, telling her to “hold my stone”.

This left Leigh baffled, leading her to fume: “Did she just call my crystal a stone? maybe she’s not as in to spirituality as I am.”

As Leah finally read out her vows, Leigh could be heard in a voiceover sharing her regrets. She said: “I’m a bit apprehensive. She is not what I normally go for and I’m worried I made a mistake.”

Viewers quickly picked up on the shaky pairing, with many predicting that their marriage won’t last.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one penned: “Did she just call my crystal a stone? Oh they’re doomed.”

A second chimed in with: “Oh dear. Another poor pairing then,” while another said: “Well that was awkward.”

A fourth E4 viewer wrote: “Leigh only just got married and she’s ready for divorce,” with a fifth echoing: “I didn’t think anyone else could be less unhappy in their marriage then Leigh and Leah came…”

A final fan was on the same page, commenting: “Leigh and Leah are going to clash.”

And it seems viewers were on the right lines as Tuesday night’s episode ended with Leigh asking her new wife to sleep separately on their wedding night.

Married At First Sight UK season 10 continues every Sunday to Thursday at 9pm on E4.
