A five-year-old boy was beheaded in front of his mother by a mentally disturbed man in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar, shocking the child's family as well as neighbours. The killer entered the house and brutally murdered the boy, Vikas. The incident happened in Dhulbayari Phalya, a village in Ali, under the Kukshi police station area of Dhar district. The 25-year-old accused, Mahesh, arrived on an Apache bike and suddenly picked up a sharp knife hanging in the house and attacked the child, according to reports. The child's neck was severed from the torso, and his body was torn into pieces. The child's mother was left in a state of shock and crying, and the village was filled with grief. Calling the incident "extremely heartbreaking", Dhar SP Mayank Awasthi said that the police are taking the matter seriously. While a resident of Jobat Bagdi in Alirajpur district, his family revealed that he had been missing from home for three to four days and was mentally unstable. Moreover, just an hour ago, before the attack, the accused also allegedly tried to steal goods from a nearby shop. "Police investigations revealed that they had no acquaintance or grudge against the murderer. The police are conducting a detailed investigation," he added.
