A high powered delegation of elders and statemen of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa has visited the Governor of Adamawa State Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Government House Yola.
The delegation was led by the Paramount Ruler of Madagali and Gulak ruling house His Royal Majesty Dr. Ali Damburam, Ptil Madagali.
Dr.Ali Danburam, who was until ascending the throne of his ancestors was the two terms managing Director of the Federal Medical Center Yola, led the Marghinization on a thank you visit to the Government and people of Adamawa State especially the Governor for the creation of Madagali Chiefdom recently.
During the visit Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who is also a son of Madagali, received his kinsmen at the Government House, Yola, with joy and merriments.
The delegation, led by His Royal Majesty, the Ptil Madagali of Madagali Chiefdom, Dr. Ali Danburam, came on a thank-you visit and to showcase the unity of Marghi nation to the Governor.
The visit also formed part of the traditional institution’s ongoing quest to strengthen its ties with the government and explore more united Nations sites like the famous Sukur Kingdom.
During the visit the Ptill Madagali Dr. Ali Damburam promised a robust unity of the people of Madagali and said all those annual activities that used to unite the people like Yinagu, fishing festival, Sukur Kingdom exploration would return and more sites of the UNESCO world heritages would be discovered.He called for peaceful coexistence among other members of the Adamawa State Council of Emire and Chiefs.
