The two-day holiday market kicks off Friday at The Legacy Ranch in Lockport. LEMONT, IL - Mabel's Market, which hosts two street markets per year in downtown Lemont, has started a brand-new partnership for a holiday vendor market at the Legacy Ranch in Lockport. Sommer Steele, owner of Mabel's Market, told Patch that this event is "a first for me in so many ways." Steele said this is her first indoor show, her first holiday show, her first event outside of Lemont and her first partnership. The two-day vendor market will feature nearly 60 vendors; and is open from 5 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 14, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 15. It is $10 for a two-day admission, and 16 and under are free. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to The Legacy Ranch. The market will feature a mobile bar and food trucks, a coffee cart, and vendors selling vintage, handmade and boutique wares, Steele said. There will also be live music, an adult craft with That Girl + Co for an extra fee. On Saturday, Santa will be at the ranch with his horse and sleigh, and will be available for a photo for a suggested $10 donation. Steele said people have been asking her about a Christmas show for years. "I was interested, but wanted to find a location different from a banquet hall or gymnasium," Steele told Patch. "I’ve known Sandi [who owns the ranch] and the Legacy Ranch through the Lemont community, and it dawned on me earlier this year that the ranch is the perfect backdrop." The Legacy Ranch, at 2705 S. Farrell Road in Lockport, is a 20-acre ranch that provides equine-assisted therapeutic riding, occupational therapy, physical therapy, mental health therapy and more. "It’s not only a beautiful facility, the work they do is so inspiring and important that the space feels amazing and should be highlighted in the community," Steele added.
