Here's what diners can expect at Legacy Place's newest restaurant. DEDHAM, MA — A growing Massachusetts restaurant is set to open a third location in the state with a major giveaway for 100 guests this weekend. Mecha Noodle Bar will open at Legacy Place in Dedham on Saturday with an opening celebration featuring a Lion Dance performance by the Wah Lum Kung Fu & Tai Chi Academy, music, entertainment and giveaways. The giveaway portion is of particular interest to diners, as the first 100 guests in line will get $100 from the restaurant. Mecha is "inspired by culture and shaped by immigrant cuisine," officials said. Diners can expect Asian comfort food, multiple variations of soups from ramen to pho and a cocktail program. Mecha opened its first Massachusetts location in Brookline in 2022, and has since expanded to include a location in Boston and three other cities nationwide. The restaurant started in Connecticut, where it operates five additional locations. Through the Eat Justice nonprofit founded by owners Tony Pham and Rich Reyes, $0.50 from every ramen bowl sold is donated to a local charity. The Food Five versions of Japanese ramen anchor the menu, including the signature New Hakkata Style Tonkotsu 3.0 with 24-hour Hakata-style pork broth, corn, tamago, peppered cabbage, bean sprouts, chicharron and chashu. The Kinoko Vegan offers mushroom dashi with shiitake salad, shio kombu, and beech mushrooms, while the Spicy Beef features brisket in Sichuan chili beef broth with tamago and spinach. Six styles of Vietnamese pho include the Pho Bo’ with braised brisket, rare beef and roasted bone marrow; the authentic Pho Bo Vien with rare beef and beef meatballs; and the Super Pho Sizzle with NY strip, chimichurri with marrow oil. The menu also includes popular Asian street food like baos and authentic dishes like Laos Crispy Pork with coconut sticky rice, spicy cucumbers and fiery Jeow Som sauce.
