Two incidents are causing delays on the M6 near Greater Manchester. Queues are building on the northbound carriageway in two parts of Cheshire this afternoon (November 1). Two lanes are closed between junctions 18 at Middlewich and 19 at Knutsford, for the A556 towards Manchester. A post from the Inrix traffic monitoring service said: "Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M6 Northbound from J18 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich / Holmes Chapel) to J19 A556 (Knutsford)." According to Inrix, a collision on the southbound side of Thelwall Viaduct caused the queues, which are now beginning to ease.
