A high-end food delivery company co-founded by ex-popstar Myleene Klass has gone into liquidation owing almost £350,000 to creditors. My Supper Hero was set up in 2021 and folded last month, with documents from Companies House showing it owed £348,096 in debt. Official records show Ms Klass is listed as one of the firm’s three company directors, The Telegraph reports. My Supper Hero boasted of offering “restaurant-quality meals”, serving roasts dinners of beef, chicken, ham or lamb for £85 for a family of four. Elsewhere, the likes of lobster vermicelli and chateaubriand with truffle mashed potatoes were available to order, along with brunch and barbecue options. Klass, 47, shot to fame on the 2001 reality TV show Popstars as one of the winning pop group Hear’Say alongside Kym Marsh, and competed on the 2023 all-stars series of I’m A Celebrity... She wrote on Instagram that her food delivery firm was for those who are “not so fond of cooking, but love eating” and that it was “not another box full of ingredients that take ages to prepare”. The meals were largely pre-prepared and designed as luxurious alternatives to takeaways, requiring just ten minutes to put together at home. Meals could be ordered solo, but memberships were available by 2022. Members could join for free before paying a £25 fee each months. New members also received an apron worth £65 as a joining gift. One of My Supper Hero’s best-known collaborators was chef Tom Aikens, who contributed meals such as marmite and treacle-marinated beef short rib. My Supper Hero was just one of Myleene Klass's registered businesses. Her other ventures included performing arts firm Avahero Limited, named in honour of her two daughters Ava Bailey and Hero Harper, which folded in 2015. Another performing arts business Harperbaily Ltd, named after her younger daughter, is still in operation, while she launched children's clothing line Baby K in 2008 with Mothercare. My Supper Hero was co-founded by Klass alongside restaurateur Jamie Barber, who led Mayfair' Hush restaurant and Hache Burgers chain. Ms Klass was awarded an MBE last year for her services to women’s health and miscarriage awareness. For years, she campaigned for changes to miscarriage laws alongside Labour MP Olivia Blake. As a result of their push to change the law, women no longer have to wait after three miscarriages to receive medical assistance. Myleene Klass, Jamie Barber and My Supper Hero were approached for comment.
