Every single superstar who has donned the purple and gold has been able to capture at least one title for LA.Those names include George Mikan, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, to name a few.If Doncic wants to be considered not only an all-time great but a Lakers great, he will need to capture at least one title for Los Angeles.Do The Lakers Have Enough Pieces to Win The Title This Season?The Lakers certainly have enough at the top, led by Doncic and future Hall of Famer LeBron James. LA has arguably two of the top 10 players in the league; the only concern is their depth.After James and Doncic, the Lakers roster consists of Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Deandre Ayton, Marcus Smart and Jarred Vanderbilt. While those are solid players, the Lakers do lack an elite wing defender who could help out on the offensive side of the ball.If the Lakers could trade for a player of that caliber, then LA could be in the short list of teams that could win the title.
