Luís Gomes to transition from Sports Bureau to FSS leadership

Luís Gomes, head of the Sports Bureau, will leave his post tomorrow, Sept. 19, after being appointed vice-chairman of the Social Security Fund’s Administrative Committee for a one-year term starting Sept. 20, according to the Official Gazette (BO). Gomes succeeds Chan Pou Wan, who was promoted to chairman of the committee in June. Gomes, who joined the civil service in 2011, transferred to the Sports Bureau in late 2023 and became its president last September. To date, no successor for Gomes at the Sports Bureau has been announced.
