The Love to Sing Choir, a cornerstone in the community since 2018, is preparing for a series of autumn performances to raise funds for local charities.

Led by musical director Shirley Helleur (BA, LRAM, LTCL), the choir has become known for its spirited performances and dedication to supporting worthy causes in the region.

Under Helleur’s expert guidance, the choir rehearses weekly, perfecting multi-harmony renditions of popular songs from movies and musicals. Their commitment to musical excellence and community spirit continues to shine through in their engaging performances.

This autumn, the choir is set to perform at three charity events. On Friday, October 3, they will take the stage at CIVIMA, Manilva Theatre, for a concert benefiting St George’s Children’s Christmas Appeal. The event features special guest violinist Tatiana Romero Vargas and begins at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets are €10, with all proceeds going directly to purchasing toys for underprivileged local children.

On Friday, October 10, the choir will perform at the Auditorium, Mirador del Carmen in Estepona, in support of CUDECA, a charity aiding patients with cancer and other serious illnesses in Malaga province. The concert starts at 6pm, with doors opening at 5.30pm. Tickets are €5 if pre-booked or €7 at the door, subject to availability. CUDECA representatives will also be present, collecting donations and selling their signature sunflower pins and bracelets.

Finally, on November 28, the choir will host a charity dinner and concert at Fresco Marina Restaurante in Sotogrande Port to support Hogar Betania’s Christmas Toys Appeal. Ticket details for this event will be announced soon.
