Love Is Blind season 9 star Jordan Keltner and his ex-girlfriend Skylar have learned how to amicably coparent their 6-year-old son, Luca. “[Our relationship is] super good. We have, like, a blended family,” Jordan, 31, said on the Wednesday, November 5, episode of the “Viall Files” podcast. “Luca has a sister [from his mom and] stepdad. I wouldn’t say we’re overly close, but I think we’re closer than most people.” Jordan and Skylar dated for three months in their early 20s, during which they found out that they were expecting Luca. “Truthfully, I never wanted kids growing up,” Jordan said. “Then, I had my accidental son, which was the best thing that’s ever happened. … He was a happy accident.” He continued, “It was a really rocky relationship, and she called me and said, ‘Hey, I took a pregnancy test and it’s positive.’ It’s like, ‘OK, I don’t know what we do from here but let’s figure it out.’ … When [Skylar] told me, I was like, ‘Let’s do this.’ I was so fortunate [to be making good money as a mechanic] that was just my mindset. I was never scared or whatever.” Before Jordan officially signed onto Love Is Blind five years later, he spoke with Skylar about the possibility of being cast. “I was just super honest [with her] that I was going to apply,” he said. “She was, like, ‘Alright, cool.’ Then, the next day I literally applied. … She was just very concerned that I was going to get villainized due to my tattoos and stuff like that, and jokes on her.” Neither Skylar nor Luca appeared on Love Is Blind, though they both met Jordan’s one-time fiancée, “Sparkle Megan” Walerius, off camera. “I was very adamant that I wanted to meet Luca’s mom before I met Luca, just so she could get comfortable [because] she didn’t sign up for this,” Megan, 35, said on Wednesday’s podcast episode. “It’s fast, so I wanted her to be comfortable with me. I think my frustration was that [the] time frame kept getting pushed, and, before we knew it, we were two weeks into real life.” Jordan, meanwhile, explained that the timeline shifted because he and Skylar had been “teetering” about whether or not to have Luca appear on the show at all. “Obviously, we’re just trying to protect him,” Jordan stated. “At the end of the day, we told production, ‘It’s going to really end up with Luca’s mom,’ and she said, ‘I don’t want to do this. I don’t want him in there.’ We all said, ‘OK, cool, let’s do that.’” Jordan and Megan ultimately called off their engagement before their scheduled wedding day over incompatible lifestyle differences. “We did commit to not leaving each other at the altar. I know that’s what a lot of people want to see, but we still cared so deeply for each other, and we just didn’t want our lives to be put on stage like that, especially with my son in attendance,” Jordan exclusively told Us Weekly, revealing he intended to have Luca come to the wedding. “I think she made up her mind that Friday morning. The wedding was on a Saturday, and during filming, she said she woke up crying at 4:30 in the morning and that’s when she knew it wasn’t going to work for her.” What Is the Most Dramatic ‘Love Is Blind’ Moment of All Time? He continued, “She did what was right for her, which [ultimately] was right for me and my family. There’s nothing wrong with that.” While Jordan has not started dating anyone new since filming wrapped, Megan moved on with Paul Wegman. The couple welcomed their first baby, son Brooks, earlier this year and shared the news at the cast’s reunion. Jordan, for his part, did find out about Megan’s pregnancy before the reunion was taped. “We’re talking about getting dinner,” he told Us of maintaining a friendly dynamic with Megan and Paul, 46. “There’s no bad blood anywhere, and nothing but love for their family.” Love Is Blind is currently streaming on Netflix.
