Lotto bosses reveal location of winning EuroDreams ticket worth €20,000 per month for 30 years

The hunt is on to find Ireland’s latest Lotto winners, after two lucky punters won life-changing prizes in Monday’s EuroDreams draws.

One lucky Lotto player is celebrating becoming Ireland’s newest millionaire after they scooped the Tier 1 prize in Monday’s EuroDreams draw to win €20,000 every month for the next 30 years.

It marks the country’s first-ever EuroDreams top-prize win since the game launched in 2023.

The prize is worth an astonishing €7.2 million and will be paid in monthly tax-free amounts of €20,000, spread over 30 years.

The National Lottery has confirmed the life-changing prize was won by an online player in Co Wicklow who matched all six numbers and the dream number in Monday night’s draw

The winning numbers in Monday’s (September 8) EuroDreams draw were: 1, 3, 5, 11, 20, 31 and the Dream number was 5.

Remarkably, the Wicklow punter wasn’t the only Irish player to win big, as another Irish player won bagged the Tier 2 prize in Monday’s draw to win €2,000 a month for five years.

In an incredible twist, it has emerged that the Tier 2 prize winner also hails from Wicklow, with Lotto bosses confirming that the winning ticket was purchased at SuperValu at Castle Street Shopping Centre in Bray.

EuroDreams players in Wicklow are now being urged to check their tickets to see if they have bagged a life-changing prize.

“This is a phenomenal night for Irish EuroDreams players and another landmark moment for the National Lottery,” said Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson said.

“To have our very first EuroDreams top prize winner is truly historic, €20,000 a month for 30 years is a life changing prize! And to add to the excitement, we also have a Tier 2 winner who will receive €2,000 a month for five years.

“It’s a dream double-win for Ireland, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We’re encouraging all our players to check their tickets, as you could be one of Ireland’s latest big winners”.

Launched in November 2023, EuroDreams is the first annuity game of its kind ever to be seen in Ireland and is a joint venture with the National Lottery and seven other European countries; Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

Unlike other lottery draw-based games, the annuity top prize, which is worth €7.2 million, is paid in monthly tax-free payments of €20,000 spread over 30 years, while the Tier 2 prize grants €2,000 per month for five years.

Players pick six main numbers from 1-40 and one bonus number (called “Dream” number) from 1-5 to make up their combination. Draws are held every Monday and Thursday and similar to the EuroMillions game, draws will take place in Paris, France at approximately 8pm (Irish Time) on draw nights.
