Dominik Mysterio has had a pretty impressive reign as Intercontinental Champion so far. Since winning the title at WWE WrestleMania 41, he has had some great matchups. His tactics have been suspect, though, as he has resorted to cheating mechanisms in order to retain his title. Throughout his reign, he has dealt with numerous wrestlers. But the two men who have been chasing him the most are Penta and Rusev. Time after time, they have faced Mysterio for the title. They’ve always lost, sometimes due to his antics and other times due to each other. The October 27, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw had a number one contender’s match between the two men. Which man was going to get another chance at Mysterio’s title? Los Americanos Ruin the Match for Penta and Rusev Another man that Mysterio has been dealing with is El Grande Americano. However, things have been different with him than with others. He has actually befriended Mysterio and has gotten along with him well. This has irritated Finn Balor, raising tensions between the two of them. If Mysterio were ever in a tough spot, El Grande Americano would surely be there to help him out. The match between Penta and Rusev was fierce. Both men were tired of getting in each other’s way in pursuit of the Intercontinental Championship. They went back and forth, their innovative offenses nearly putting each other away several times. A particularly intense moment happened when Rusev tried hitting Penta with the Accolade. Penta fired back with the Penta Driver, but was unsuccessful in pinning Rusev. Right after that was when the match started to break down. Both men were down on the mat. It would be a race to see who would get back up and take control of the match. They both got up and started slapping each other. That’s when Bravo and Rayo Americano came out and attacked them, forcing a disqualification. For weeks, they have been accompanying El Grande Americano as Los Americanos. They have worked together to wreak havoc and confuse numerous people on Raw. The two men, as well as El Grande Americano, beat down Penta and Rusev. They got in some good punches and kicks before the latter two responded with some offense of their own. That forced the three Americanos out of the ring, putting a stop to the attack. But what would happen now that the match ended in a disqualification? After the match
