The President is the most powerful person in the world. With that power the people are at the mercy of whether that person is a public servant or a corrupt Godfather. The corruption of this President who is a convicted felon is on full display. The quickest way for Trump to extort money is to sue companies that need some type of federal agency approval. The decision for the businesses then becomes a business calculation whether to agree to a settlement and pay or fight. Trump has enriched himself by millions of dollars in this way. The White House is the People’s House. It is the embodiment of who we are and the character of America. It does not belong to any President. For Trump to wantonly destroy the East Wing and its history and replace it with a tacky, glitzy abomination of a palace is an insult to the American people. Now Trump wants his lackeys in the Justice Department to pay him $230 million of taxpayer money as compensation for his indictments. Generally, when someone is indicted, the initial defense action is a motion to dismiss the charges. Judges protect the accused and routinely grant these motions if there is insufficient evidence to bring the charges. Trump’s indictments had enough evidence for trial, and his search warrants were backed by probable cause.
