Loose Women star Jane Moore halts show for health update after co-star's surgery

Loose Women star Jane Moore halted the latest edition of the ITV talk show to provide a health update after her co-star's surgery. It was a busy afternoon on Wednesday (October 29) for Jane as she was joined by panellists Judi Love, GK Barry and Mariella Frostrup to discuss the latest news stories and topics circulating on social media. On the agenda for the day was discussions on if your parents are allowed to be friends with your ex and whether it’s hard to be a good friend in the modern world. Additionally, the ITV stars sat down with Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen to discuss her new children’s book and what it’s like living with her ex Clive. Earlier in the week, it was confirmed that Janet Street-Porter is taking a small break from the programme to undergo her second knee surgery. Speaking on Monday (October 24), Janet said: “I'm going for a knee replacement, my right knee. I've had my left knee done, oh it must be eight or nine years ago. "Last October, I had my left hip replaced, so the left-hand side of my body is virtually bionic. So, tomorrow it's the right knee, and quite honestly, I can't wait." Just before the interview with Amanda was conducted, Jane paused the shop to reveal how Janet’s procedure went. “Breaking news from Janet, we sent her off on Monday for her knee replacement surgery. Good news, it was a success. Don’t take my word for it, she’s decided to send you all a message,” she said. A video then played of Janet in her hospital room as she showed off the contents of what she had with her and showed the walking frame she’s using for assistance. “I’m back, look at me. Subsistence, half a banana, reading glasses, physio instructions. Already done for today. Here I am, up and mobile on my walking frame. Was doing it yesterday, hands free,” she said. Following a loud round of applause from the live audience, Jane noted: “She’s like Robocop. Sending you all our love Janet, look after yourself and we look forward to seeing you soon.” When asked earlier in the week if she's in a lot of pain, Janet admitted: "I'm in a huge amount of pain, and then I ripped my neck just to put the icing on the cake, so can't move it… “I'm gonna be off for three weeks, so I'm not off forever, I'm gonna be doing all that physio and I want to say to anyone out there contemplating knee replacement, stick to the exercises. "Get up, move around as much as you can... The last two weeks have been really chronic."
