'Looked Like Assassin': Trump Calls Public Infatuation With Luigi Mangione A 'Pure Sickness'

US President Donald Trump on Thursday said that he finds the public fascination with Luigi Mangione deeply troubling. A judge in New York state on September 17 dismissed two terrorism charges against Luigi Mangione, the alleged killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. In an interview with Fox News, he described Mangione as “looking like a pure assassin” after shooting someone in the back without warning. Trump expressed concern over young adults’ fascination with Mangione, calling it a “sickness” that should be studied and investigated. Trump said he was shocked to see people, especially young women, reacting positively to Mangione, despite the seriousness of his crime. “I’m watching as the girls are going crazy for him. This is a sickness,” Trump said. What Trump Said About Western Allies And Russian Oil Trump criticized European Union countries and NATO members for purchasing oil from Russia. He said that while he pressured some countries, others quietly continued purchasingRussian oil, which he described as “not the greatest thing.” He said that if oil prices fall or Russia loses buyers, countries would have no choice but to settle, implying that controlling energy markets is a critical part of international negotiations. What Trump Said About China’s Role In Ukraine Trump said that China, as the largest purchaser of Russian oil, could play a major role in ending the Ukraine conflict if it applied economic pressure on Russia.
