When Chanel departed in 2023 after 30 seasons, MTV rotated in guest co-hosts before naming Lauren “Lolo” Wood as the new permanent panelist. According to TMZ, the news was delivered to the show’s cast and crew this week, with network executives informing everyone that the current season would be its last. The series went on hiatus in July and had been expected to return in January, but instead, MTV will air its remaining unaired episodes through 2026 before retiring the franchise from production. Despite the cancellation, Ridiculousness’s enormous library and steady ratings ensure it will remain a key part of MTV’s programming schedule through reruns and digital platforms.
