It's almost the end of an era for one long running and established business in Kilkenny City with its impending closure. Rossiter Shoe Repairs and Pedorthics, based on the Butterslip, has been in operation locally for 38 years but owner Michael Rossiter has confirmed 2025 will be its last in store before moving online. "Whilst I often spoke of retirement, it was always off there in the far distant future," Mr Rossiter said. "I might even miss performing miracles for some and the customer who says 'I don’t have my ticket, but…' "I have 'picked a day that suits me. This shop will close and I will hang up my apron and cease saving soles on Saturday, November 29 2025," he continued.
