Rail passengers are facing major disruption on multiple services after two people were hit by trains in separate incidents.

Trains run by Thameslink, Southern and Gatwick Express face being cancelled or delayed by up to two hours.

The first incident happened near St Albans station around 9.15am and the second near Three Bridges station around 10.30am.

The rail disruption comes as over 350 bus workers were expected to strike on Monday.

Drivers, engineers and storemen employed by the London Transit Bus company are taking industrial action due to disputes over their pay.

Routes impacted include the 13, 23, 31, N31, 218, 295 and 452.
