Lola Young Health Update: British Singer Collapses Mid-Performance At New York City Music Festival

British singer Lola Young collapsed while performing at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City on Saturday. The 24-year-old was singing her track “Conceited” at Forest Hills Stadium when she suddenly fell on stage, as per local media reports. Medical staff rushed to help and carried her off as the crowd cheered in support. Lola’s Struggles Before Incident Earlier in her set, Young spoke honestly to fans, saying she had faced “a tricky couple of days” and admitted that life sometimes felt overwhelming. She added that she chose to perform despite the challenges, telling the crowd: “Sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.” Her collapse came just one day after she cancelled a scheduled performance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert. Her manager, Nick Shymansky, explained on Instagram that the decision was linked to a “sensitive matter,” and hinted it could be tied to her mental health. He said Young has been very open about her struggles and sometimes her team must take steps to protect her well-being. Past Struggles With Mental Health Young has been vocal about living with schizoaffective disorder, a condition she was diagnosed with at 17. In a 2022 Instagram post, she revealed how deeply it has shaped her life, but also described her mental health as a “superpower,” while admitting she experiences extreme highs and lows. Lola Young is best known for her 2024 hit “Messy.” She has released three albums, including her latest project I’m Only F—— Myself, which came out on September 19, just days before the incident.
