Lola Young has decided to step away from music for a while after collapsing on stage at All Things Go Festival on Saturday (Sept. 27).

In a message posted to her Instagram on Tuesday (Sept. 30), the rising English pop star informed fans that she will not be able to fulfill any of her upcoming commitments as she needs to take some time off for herself. “I’m going away for a while,” she wrote. “It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future.”

“Thank you for all the love and support,” Young continued. “I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know.”

The update comes three days after the “Messy” singer appeared to pass out on stage at the New York City iteration of All Things Go Festival. Afterwards, Young simply thanked fans for their concern and wrote, “I am doing okay now.”

Before her collapse, the musician had been telling fans at her set about how she’s been going through a tough time. The day prior, she’d pulled out last minute from her slot at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, with her manager citing a “sensitive matter” related to mental health at the time.

Shortly after her collapse, Young — whose new album I’m Only F–king Myself dropped less than two weeks ago — pulled out of the All Things Go Festival in Washington, D.C. “I love this job, and I never take my commitments and audience for granted,” she told fans on Instagram when announcing the news. “I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future.”

In her post about stepping back from all of her upcoming appearances, Young echoed that sentiment. “I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger,” she closed out her message.
