Logitech’s Superlight Pro X Superlight mouse was already my favorite gaming mouse, so I was excited to take its new iteration, the Pro X Superlight 2x, for a spin. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but the Superlight 2c is an excellent revision of an already-great mouse, with some added bonuses for the hyper competitive players out there.
Agility boost
Coming in at just 51 grams, the Superlight 2c is 10 percent lighter and 5 percent smaller than the Superlight 2, a mouse that was already named for its lightweight build and small design. The 2c takes things a step further, making it the smallest gaming mouse in Logitech’s arsenal of accessories.
Comparing the Superlight 2c to its predecessor is mainly a matter of preference. If you like a firm—maybe even tight—grip on your mouse during those intense gaming moments, the Superlight 2c may be for you. Or, if you’re simply a gamer with smaller hands, this mouse might feel better beneath your palm. Even as someone with rather large hands, I prefer the Superlight 2c because I tend to make my hand into a claw when gaming.
Click, click, boom
I can’t overstate that the Superlight 2c really is a smaller version of the Superlight 2. It features the same design and color scheme, as well as the same two buttons on the side. The skates still feel smooth as ever, and the mouse can be used both wirelessly and wired while charging. It’s got a beefy battery on it, so I only see the red low battery light come on about once a week.
That said, there is a bit different under the hood. The Superlight 2c sports a 8 kHz Polling Rate, 888 IPS, and a handful of other technical attributes that the team at Logitech closely collaborated with professional gamers to achieve. A lot of it won’t mean much to the casual player, so allow me to put it in the simplest of terms: the mouse feels incredibly responsive, and glides across any decent surface with ease. I never had to pick up my mouse in frustration, or question if I was using the wrong mousepad. That means, unfortunately, all of my whiffs in CS2 are my fault alone. Bummer.
The Superlight 2c, like most Logitech devices, has G Hub integration. This makes it easy to customize your settings, including DPI. You can set multiple settings presets, which can be quickly swapped between depending on what kind of game you’re playing. It’s a neat feature, as players will likely want different settings when going from a game like League of Legends to Fortnite.
The right click
If you’re happy with your Superlight 2 or original Superlight, you’ll survive without this upgrade. But, if you’re a competitive gamer who spends time adjusting DPI settings, considering their wrist and arm placement, or the weight of their mouse, the Superlight 2c has everything you need to compete at the highest levels. It’s a mighty mouse in a tiny package, offering extended wireless play and premium accuracy without compromising either.
