First place is on the line Friday night. ... Well, sort of. The Boston Celtics can take the top spot in Group B of the 2025 NBA Cup if they earn a win against the Orlando Magic at Kia Center. Boston beat the Philadelphia 76ers in an NBA Cup thriller last Friday. The Celtics and 76ers are the only teams from Group B who have played a game thus far. The Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets and Magic all begin their NBA Cup slates Friday night. The C's face the Nets and Pistons in group play later this month.
