A number of road closures have been revealed across the region, with some already in effect and others due to take place soon. A lane closure on the M2 northbound will be implemented tonight at 11pm between Junction six, Rathbeg and Junction seven, Antrim Hospital for bridge repairs. The works are scheduled to be overnight only and the road is expected to be fully operational again at 6am tomorrow morning. Delays of up to five minutes are expected while the work is being conducted. The A1 Banbridge Road Dromore Northbound to Hillsborough Road will be closed from 11pm tonight so resurfacing works can take place. The road is anticipated to reopen at 6am tomorrow. Cherryvalley Road, Crumlin is currently closed from Cidercourt Road to Bay Road as meter works take place by NI Water. An alternative rout of Herryvalley Road, Lurgan Road, Main Street, Mill Road, Crumlin Road, Largy Road, Bay Road is in place. The closure started earlier this morning and is the road is expected to reopen tonight. Ballydonaghy Road, Crumlin from Moira Road to No.51 Ballydonaghy Road is currently closed as work is undertaken by NI Water. The road is expected to also reopen tonight and delays of around five minutes are being experienced by commuters. On Ballymoney Road, Ballymena , a one way closure is in place from this morning (Tuesday), until Friday, November 14. The closure from Woodtown Road to Bamber Park has been implemented to allow for accommodation works to the Chestnutt Hall Development. Delays are expected and an alternate route of travelling via Woodtown Road, Carniny Road and Carnburn Road has been suggested to drivers. A lane closure on Strand Road at Portstewart is still in effect from Strand Crescent to a point about 100m south of the road. The lane closure was put in place to facilitate a repair to a broken sewer pipe which has seen delays of around five minutes to traffic. The repairs are expected to end tomorrow, (Wednesday) at 6pm and are being undertaken by NI Water. Cam Road, Ringsend from Shinny Road to Craigmore Road is closed for BT polling works from today. An alternative route via Shinny Road, Cashel Road, Craigmore Road is in place. Delays of five minutes are expected and it is anticipated that the road will reopen on Thursday, December 4, at 6pm. A lane closure was put in place yesterday for Clooney Road, Londonderry from Judges Road to the CAW roundabout. The closure will operate with traffic control measures in place until later this week with delays of up to five minutes expected. The road is expected to be fully operational from 4pm Friday. Another lane closure is currently operating on Chester Avenue in Bangor as NI water replace lead pipe in the area. The affected road stretches from Chester Park to Shrewsbury Drive with delays of up to five minutes expected. The road is expected to reopen at midnight on Wednesday evening. At Belfast Road in Crumlin, a lane closure has been in effect since last Thursday and is expected to continue until 4.30pm on Monday, December 22 as Northern Ireland Electricity Networks carries out work. Shore Road, Whiteabbey has a one way closure in effect from the junction with Circular Road to the junction with Chestnutt Hill. The closure has been in effect since yesterday morning to facilitate the building of an entrance to the housing development . A diversion has been put in place and the work is expected to continue until the evening of Monday, December 1. Work is still being undertaken at Melmount Road, Sion Mills, in Strabane by NI Water which has seen a lane closure in place since October 13. The road is expected to be fully operational from 4.30pm, Friday, November 14. The area from Whitehouse Retail park to Skeoge Roundabout in Londonderry is being affected as a lane closure is in place on Buncrana Road. The road is expected to be fully running from 4.30pm, Friday, November 14. The A2 at Hollywood has had a lane closure in place from yesterday morning to facilitate iron works. The lane closure is operating daily from 09:30 to 16:30 up until tomorrow. The affected area is from Sullivan Place to Seapark Road. Circular Road to Larne Harbour Roundabout on the Harbour Highway in Larne has a lane closure in place. Traffic control is in place since the closure was implemented yesterday and the road is expected to be fully operational from 4.30pm tomorrow. Granville Drive in Ballymena has a one way closure in place which is expected to be operational until 4.30pm Friday as NI Water conduct repairs on a sewer. Craigstown Road, Ballymena from Doagh Road to Carncome Road is currently closed as a manhold chamber is being rebuilt. The road is expected to reopen on Friday afternoon at 4pm. Portmore Road in Portstewart has a lane closure being undertaken from Portmore Road to Central Avenue to facilitate necessary work on foot paths. The work started yesterday and is due to continue until Wednesday, November 12 at 6pm. A lane closure at Carland Road, Dungannon is in effect for a week and is expected to be reopened at 4.30pm on Monday, November 10. Ardglass Road, Downpatrick had a lane closure implemented yesterday so work by DFI Southern could be facilitated. The work is expected to run until Friday, December 19, 4.30pm.
