Lip Reader Catches David Beckham Revealing His Next Move During Knighthood Ceremony

Former Manchester United captain and one of soccer’s all-time greats is now officially known as Sir David Beckham. David was knighted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle on Nov. 4 with his wife, Victoria (now known as Lady Beckham), his parents, and three of his children by his side. Now, a lip-reading expert is sharing what David said to the monarch about something he plans to do in the future and what advice the king gave him about that. Nicola Hickling is a visionary entrepreneur and the founder of LipReader, a company specializing in lipreading and expert witness reports. Hickling has spearheaded the development of innovative technologies and services that empower individuals with hearing impairments. She has also appeared in the Daily Mail, Page Six, Newsweek, and more. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Hickling told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that during the knighthood ceremony, King Charles began, “I dub thee, David Beckham,” as he placed the medal on him. The king then added, “I am so proud of all you have done with your sports and charities. Amazing, you are unbelievable. I’m proud to knight you.” David replied, “It’s been a great day,” to which the king said, “Magic. Now, you do what you’re good at.” The former soccer star responded by informing the monarch of exactly what he planned to do next, sharing, “It’s been my greatest honor, if I’m honest. Next step, I’m going to write a book.” King Charles then shared a piece of advice, telling him, “You can write a book, David. And try not to forget those names.” David assured the king he won’t, saying, “Oh, I’m sure they’ll be so happy to be mentioned in it.”
