LinkedIn has named McCann as its global creative agency of record, ADWEEK has learned.
The decision follows a closed review of the social platform’s creative account.
A LinkedIn spokesperson confirmed the appointment. In a statement to ADWEEK, they said the company is “always exploring new agency collaborations to help us reach our members and customers in more creative and imaginative ways.”
“We are proud to be named LinkedIn’s global creative agency of record,” Amber Guild, chief executive (CEO), of McCann New York, told ADWEEK in a statement. “LinkedIn is a category-defining brand at an exciting moment of growth across both business and consumer audiences. We look forward to advancing their business goals and building brand value through the radical creativity of Truth Well Told.”
LinkedIn’s annual global media spend is $250 million, while its U.S. spend is $110 million, according to estimates from COMvergence.
Roster Shakeup
This is LinkedIn’s latest agency appointment since Jessica Jensen joined as chief marketing and strategy officer earlier this year.
In April, LinkedIn moved its media business from Dentsu to Publicis Media.
And in March, the platform hired R/GA as global creative strategic agency for LinkedIn Ads following a pitch.
Earlier this year, McCann Worldgroup reorganized into four brands—McCann, production company Craft, brand consultancy Futurebrand, and precision marketing agency MRM—as owner Interpublic Group (IPG) prepares to be acquired by DDB owner Omnicom Group. The deal is expected to close later this year.
IPG reported a 6.6% decline in net revenue for the second quarter of 2025.
