Downtown Lincoln will be devoid of its usual sea of Husker red this weekend as elementary students from across the state take over the Railyard for the 24th annual Pumpkin Run.
More than 3,500 young runners representing over 90 elementary schools will fill the streets of Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket on Sunday for the 1-mile youth fun run hosted by the Nebraska Sports Council.
The Pumpkin Run, which is the largest youth-only event of its kind in the nation, will kick off near Canopy and P streets and finish in front of the Pinnacle Bank Arena main entrance.
