Limpopo entrepreneur turns unemployment into medicinal tea business

A Limpopo entrepreneur says health problems and unemployment motivated her to come up with tea blends which are aimed at treating various ailments.

Tryphinah Moshomane had been working at a factory at Seshego since 2019.

Her herbal teas are now sold at various stores and pharmacies throughout the province. Moshomane says that despite difficult times, she’s managed to grow her business.

“After my job was ended, it was then that I started thinking of doing something for myself. Being a mother and having responsibilities to look after my children as well.”

Moshomane’s employees, Donald Monyai and Kgaogelo Monama, have expressed gratitude for being given an opportunity to support their families.

“This job has been able to help me a lot, especially in the industry that I am in, which requires a lot of experience. Being this company has helped me not only to grow financially but also to be able to grow in my experience as well so that as I grow in my field, I am able to look for other opportunities that are better than the one I am having now.”

“I thank the opportunity that I got from Tryphinah Moshomane Foods. The little that I get here is not enough but I can maintain my family there and there.”
