Lily Allen wows in stockings as she admits she now owns her 'self pleasure'

Lily Allen has shed the layers for a new photo shoot ahead of her long-awaited music comeback. The Smile singer posed for Perfect Magazine and spoke of her new album, West End Girl. The 14-track record is inspired by her move to New York, and will delve into her split from her Stranger Things star husband David Harbour . The 40-year-old dazzled on the front cover in a plunging neckline, showing off her new boob job which she admits she got as she feared her "body would feel out of proportion" after she gained weight. She explained that, since her split, she "got really, really thin". Lily said she has always been "bottom-heavy" so hope it would make her body look more even. The photoshoot, which accompanies a lengthy interview, available to read on Perfect Magazine , sees the Hard Out Here singer delve into the idea of being sexy and how she now treats pleasure differently to when she was at the start of her career in her twenties. "I actually didn't dress like this in pictures when I was in my early twenties," she said. "It wasn't something that came naturally to me." The photos see Lily strip down to lingerie, posing on a bed and looking incredible – a stark contrast to her floaty dresses and trainers she wore at the start of her chart-topping career. She said: "It feels powerful. I feel like I'm comfortable with my body in a way that I haven't been for most of my adult life. "I work out five times a week. I'm proud of the effort and energy I put into my health. "And also I know how the internet works! If there's a picture of me going out with this album in a Brora cardigan, that's not going to go very far." The Not Fair hit-maker admitted she feels far sexier now than she did in her younger years, which has also translated into how she feels about sex. She said: "The act of having sex in my twenties was completely as an object. I didn't feel it had anything to do with my own pleasure. "I never felt like my enjoyment of it was a priority for any of the partners that I had chosen or anyone that I'd ended up with. "I didn't masturbate, even, when I was in my twenties. I existed purely for the enjoyment of men. And that didn't feel sexy. "It's only later that I've discovered what it is like and what turns me on. And if I want to express that in photographs or on my record, then I'm going to do that." Speaking of her new album, Lily said elsewhere: "I’m nervous. The record is vulnerable in a way that my music perhaps hasn’t been before – certainly not over the course of a whole album. “I’ve tried to document my life in a new city and the events that led me to where I am in my life now. “At the same time, I’ve used shared experiences as the basis for songs which try to delve into why we humans behave as we do, so the record is a mixture of fact and fiction which I hope serves as a reminder of how stoic yet also how frail we humans can be. “In that respect I think it’s very much an album about the complexities of relationships and how we all navigate them. It’s a story." Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Sign up for our free Daily Star Showbiz newsletter.
