In the spirit of the famed benevolent heart of Apostle Joshua Oluwagbemiga Babalola Ola-Ojo while alive, putting smiles on the faces of the needy with foodstuff and cash support, Jesus is Light Ministries (aka Light Chapel) is marking the 20th anniversary of the death of the late Founder of the church, with distribution of foodstuff to worshippers, while the grand finale holds on Sunday September 28, 2025.
Since the death of Apostle Ola-Ojo 20 years ago, the church has been sustaining his legacy of compassion with the distribution of foodstuff and other support to the needy every month.
Pastor Bayo Funso Adaramola, the church’s current General Overseer, said the church continues the legacy of the Founder with the ongoing distribution of foodstuff to commemorate the 20th memorial anniversary of the late Ikole-Ekiti-born business tycoon and founder.
Pastor Adaramola said the distribution of foodstuff was in the spirit of the late Apostle Ola-Ojo, who left the legacy of compassion outreach to the less privileged.
“Sunday September 28, 2025 is the grand finale of ‘Compassion Outreaches’ to all our branches in Nigeria, which we commenced September 2024.
“We shall be distributing foodstuff to all worshippers. This huge programme is powered by committed members of the church nationally and friends of the ministry,” Pastor Adaramola disclosed to Sunday Independent.
20th Memorial Service For Late Apostle Ola-Ojo
Pastor Adaramola also announced the 20th Memorial Service for the late Founder, late Apostle Ola-Ojo on Sunday September 28, 2025 at the Church headquarters at Agodo, Egbe Lagos.
He recalled that the billionaire Founder/Pioneer General Overseer of Jesus is Light Ministries (aka Light Chapel), contested the Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential ticket with mogul, late Bashorun M.K.O Abiola in the 1993 election.
Pastor Adaramola described the memorial service as a celebration of the Founder’s legacy of faith, dedication, love for God’s work and his enduring spirit.
He added that the memorial service is also a time of spiritual enrichment, communal reflection, and joyful celebration of God’s faithfulness through the life and works of the Apostle Ola-Ojo, the late fishery magnate from Ikole Ekiti, Ekiti State.
