Lexus Galway first Irish retailer to win Kiwami Award

Lexus Galway made history as it claimed the honour of becoming the first Irish retailer to win the Lexus Europe Kiwami Award.

The Kiwami (outstanding excellence ) Awards recognises excellence in business and customer service. Since their introduction in 2016, the awards have highlighted the dedication and innovation of the Lexus dealer network across Europe.

Lexus said that each winner embodies its philosophy of “making luxury personal”, with retailer staff demonstrating “exceptional attention to detail – not only in how they prepare for every customer interaction, but in every aspect of their day-to-day operations”. This year, just 19 out of an eligible 340 European dealers were recognised by Lexus as top-performing retailers, with Lexus Galway representing Ireland for the first time.

Tony Burke, dealer principal of Lexus Galway, attended the 2025 Kiwami Awards ceremony held recently in Budapest, Hungary, where he was honoured with the award on behalf of the Ballybrit-based dealership.

Andre Schmidt, head of Lexus Europe, said the Kiwami Awards are “a testament to the passion and dedication of our retailer partners”.

“Each winner has demonstrated not only outstanding business performance, but also a deep commitment to delivering a one-of-a-kind personalised hospitality that defines Lexus,” he added.
