Political developments in the U.S. these days show that there are two types of Americans: democratic Americans and un-Americans. The attempt by Democratic governors to sue the Trump administration for nutritional shortages occurring because of the government shutdown provides a case in point (“25 states, D.C. sue Trump administration to continue SNAP benefits,” Web, Oct. 25). The Democrats are responsible for the month-long shutdown because their demands for free medical aid for illegal aliens and a $1.5 trillion increase in the debt are what 77 million Americans voted against when they voted for President Trump last November. Besides that, Democrats have absolutely no claim to masquerade as defendants of the poor when, in a recent Fox News interview, House Minority Whip Katherine Clark, Massachusetts Democrat, hat the ongoing shutdown provides Democrats with “leverage.” In other words, it suits the Democrats politically to keep the government shut. A more callous stance by a political party is difficult to imagine, which is why the Democrats are the un-American party. Their true colors are also boldly evident in their outright support of antifa and other riotous elements in Chicago and Portland. There, protestors are defending criminal illegal aliens as federal agents sent there to remove the illegals try to restore law and order. Of course, the ultimate crown worn by the un-American Democrats is that of socialism. The glaring support of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, New York Democrat, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and the AOC-led “Squad” for the democratic socialist candidate for mayor of New York City makes that very clear. From this, it is apparent that the exit of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard from the Democratic Party last year was timely and justified.
