There's always something fun to do in Delaware, even if haters try to convince you otherwise. What cool events are on tap for the First State in November, you ask? You can see for yourself. Here's the lowdown on some can't-miss events coming to the home of Krypton. DJ Kid Capri brings grown fun to Wilmington Esteemed hip-hop DJ Kid Capri is looking to make soundwaves at Docklands this weekend. Tickets are going fast. Fans of the '90s grew up with Kid Capri who appeared on "Def Comedy Jam." The legend is one of the most famous DJs in the world. He's worked with big names like Jay-Z Busta Rhymes, KRS-One and Snoop. Dover goes to 18th century for Heritage Festival If you want to see what Delaware was like in the 18th century, you'll get that chance at the Delaware Heritage Festival. You'll see people selling wares in period clothing, along with demonstrations and performers that are true to the era. On The Green (25 The Green, Dover) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 1. Johnny Depp & Delaware's Ti West: Both are linked to new Scrooge movie North Mississippi Allstars, Wilmington After hitting Lewes over the summer, the North Mississippi Allstars are coming upstate to dish up Southern comfort on a hot musical plate of blues, rock and soul. Some of their most scrumptious meals include "Meet Me in the City," "Hittin' The Hay" and "Mud." Baby Grand (818 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 8 p.m. Nov. 7. Tickets are $74. Now the comedian is headed to Wilmington to tickle you to tears. And don't expect her to give you a tissue either. The Playhouse on Rodney Square (1007 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 7 p.m. Nov. 8. Winterthur antiques show 2025, Winterthur More than 60 distinguished dealers will feature fine offerings at one of the country's most prestigious antique shows. The Delaware Antiques Show will show off an interesting display of art, design and antiques. The show is Nov. 7 to 9. On Saturday and Sunday, guests will have a chance to see lectures. The Opening Night Party launches on Nov. 6, with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and exclusive early shopping. Tickets are Sponsor: $250 per person, includes admission at 6 p.m.; Patron: $175 per person, 6 p.m. entry; Young Collector: $150 per person, 6 p.m. entry The Opening Night Party ticket is valid for admission to all days of the show and includes lectures. ShakesBEER in fall 2025, Wilmington The Bard and brews are back together again at Wilmington Brew Works (WBW) for a night of entertainment with the program ShakesBEER. Delaware Shakespeare fans will experience readings of monologues and scenes from Shakespeare that are connected to your three beers of the evening, according to Del Shakes' website. Holiday Shoppes 2025, Harrington Over 300 vendors are pulling up to the Holiday Shoppes at the Delaware State Fair and organizers say this year's the biggest yet. More than 100 of the vendors are new. Shoppers will experience handmade gifts, plus candles, jewelry and other festive items for sale. You'll also have a chance to munch on food while shopping. The Holiday Shoppes is spread across the Exhibit Hall, Schabinger Pavilion, Kent Building and Dover Building. Parking is free. Delaware State Fairgrounds (18500 S. Dupont Highway, Harrington) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8. Advance tickets are $7 until Nov. 7 at 11:59 p.m. After that, tickets can only be purchased in person for $9. The Delafaire has over 100 vendors, including craft and food vendors, plus a variety of performance entertainers. The festival will be held at Fire Base Lloyd (474 Fleming Landing Road, Townsend) Nov. 8 to 9. Faire hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with gates closing at 4:30 p.m. Advanced tickets for general admission: $10-$25; free for ages 4 or younger; special admission: $20 for ages 65+, veterans, active-duty personnel, Peace Corps, or guests with disabilities. Native fashion show: 'Living Indigenous,' Wilmington In honor of Indigenous Peoples Month, a Native fashion show titled "Living Indigenously: Through the Culture of Fashion" will showcase traditional regalia and the stories behind them. The event spotlights the cultural legacy of regional Natives like the Delaware Nanticoke Indian and New Jersey Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nations. Guests also will learn about fashion by Kayla Lookinghorse who is of Hunkpapa, Itazipco Lakota and Dakota lineage. A live performance will be delivered by Nataanii Means, plus a drum ceremony by the Red Blanket Singers. VIP tickets include seats close to the runway. First State Ballet's diverse show, Wilmington Poetry in motion will be on display when First State BalletTheatre members show off their fancy footwork in a diverse program titled "Up Front on Market." 'Shrek the Musical,' Wilmington One of pop culture’s favorite green giants who isn't a member of the Avengers will bring his golden voice to a stream near you in “Shrek The Musical,” presented by Delaware Children’s Theatre. “Shrek The Musical” follows an unexpected hero, a comedic donkey and a princess who can hold her own. There’s also a royal villain with a little attitude problem, plus a host of ragtag fairytale characters. Delaware Children's Theatre (1014 Delaware Ave., Wilmington) from Nov. 22 to Dec. 7. 'Elmo and Friends Say Hello' Wilmington Adults will take a nostalgic stroll down Memory Lane before scooping up their kids for a visit to Sesame Street, where “Elmo and Friends Say Hello” will make folks feel right at home. Kids and adults will hang out with Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and their crew for a show that features, dancing and singing as guests play alongside your favorite furry friends, all while having fun with Elmo’s puppy, Tango, in a cute game of hide and seek, according to the production description. For an extra fee, you can pay to take photos with members of the cast, so make sure to have your camera. The Grand (818 N. Market St., Wilmington) at 2 p.m. Nov. 22. Tickets are $54 to $96.
