A man, who had been drinking, reportedly drove a silver Chevy pickup onto a walking path and backed up, telling someone he was “looking for the boys.” They, in turn, reported the reckless driving to the Kalispell Police Department. A skinny man wearing long green shorts and a white hoodie allegedly walked into a store and asked an employee personal questions while staring, making them uncomfortable. He then took a bunch of business cards and tried opening merchandise before leaving. The employee, who thought he might be on drugs, asked an officer to counsel him about his odd behavior. A woman’s brother reportedly “got in her face about how she talks to their mother” and shoved her. The woman, who appeared to be drunk, allegedly told an officer that she was concerned they were going to get into a fight and only wanted them to go their separate ways, which they already had. Someone reportedly had questions about concealed carry weapons after being told he could have a “gas-powered gun.” A woman was allegedly evicted because she didn’t have an email and wanted to report the landlord to the police. An officer told her that evictions are handled through civil court if she wanted to fight it. A blue Ford F-150 reportedly swerved in and out of a lane, crossing over into oncoming traffic, on North Meridian Road. A man reportedly loaned a vehicle to his grandparents and wanted it back, but he believed there was a temporary restraining order in place. The records department advised an officer that the order involving him was cleared and they told him he could pursue the vehicle’s return civilly. Officers received a later call from a woman whose dad allegedly stole her car while she was in jail. She claimed he had picked it up in Missoula and was keeping it in Whitefish. The parent told the officer he had the damaged car towed to a dealership in Missoula and did not have it in his possession or know where it was taken afterward. A former resident wearing a camo jacket reportedly went into a building, carrying stuff under his jacket, and was suspiciously running and walking in front of cars and on a walking path along the campus on U.S. 93 North. Someone was suspicious of a black VW Touraeg that was allegedly left running in the casino side of a business’s parking lot for a couple of hours when an employee clocked in and initially didn’t see anyone inside it, but later saw at least two people lighting something off a torch and passing a bag. Officers moved a man along. A man allegedly used his former employer’s accounts to fraudulently order parts for his own business. A store customer complained about a man who was reportedly stomping around, swearing and making hand gestures near a pharmacy drive-thru and then got on a bicycle and rode away, still yelling.
