Laura Woods had her TNT Sports colleagues roaring with laughter after a slip of the tongue during Wednesday evening’s Champions League coverage . Woods had been leading the post-game discussion of Liverpool’s late win over Atletico Madrid at Anfield when she said: “Diego Simeone, obviously quite a fiery character, he got himself sent off after the winner from Virgin…Virgil van Dijk .” The TNT Sports presenter quickly realised her mistake and let out a small chuckle as she tried to regain her composure. Her slip-up was also also noticed by Michael Owen and Steve McManaman – who could be heard sniggering in the background. However, during Woods’ comment, TNT were showing replays of Van Dijk’s late winner – somewhat saving her blushes. “Did you say this @laura_woodsy great composure to carry on… ya made my night even better,” one fan joked on social media, sharing a video of the incident. And it caught the attention of Woods, who responded: “Noooo…I did say this,” adding three laughing emojis. Woods is back on TV screens this season after taking some time out to start a family with Love Island’s Adam Collard. “I was nervous about how I looked,” Woods has previously told The Telegraph . “You put on a lot of weight in pregnancy and you feel a little bit different. “Of the things I used to worry about, my appearance probably would have been top of that list. But funnily enough that’s sort of taken a bit of a back step. I don’t care about that as much as I thought I would. “When I came back I felt quite a level of acceptance of myself I don’t think I had before I had a baby. “My body has been through quite a lot and that is just a reality. However you have your baby, however tricky or easy your pregnancy is, your body will change and you just accept it because you think there’s something much bigger going on. My body has done an amazing thing.’ “Now the important thing is that my whole kind of existence is making sure that Leo’s existence is great and that I’m looking after him in the best way I can. So things that you think matter do take a back step.”
