Halloween is right around the corner, and if you happen to be like me, then you might be frantically trying to put together some last-minute spooky treats. Don't worry, we've listed together some quick, last-minute treats that you can pull together in 15 minutes. Here are some simple, easy-to-make trick ideas that will be loved by everyone. These are quick to prepare yet delicious and definitely have spooky feels around them. Mummy Hot Dogs This is a very typical one and is ridiculously simple to make. The only things that you will need are hot dogs, crescent roll dough (or any other pre-made dough), and a little bit of mustard or ketchup for eyes. How to make it: Oven temperature should be set to 375°F (190°C). Wrap each hot dog in thin pieces of dough, but keep a small space for the “eyes”. Let the dough bake for 10–12 minutes or until it turns golden. Apply mustard or ketchup to make the dots that represent the eyes. There you have some adorable little mummies that are delicious to eat. They are great for kids’ little hands and even adults who have kept their childhood alive. Spooky Witch Hat Cookies Only with the help of some chocolate kisses and a few chocolate cookies lying around you can prepare these within minutes. How to make it: Grab a cookie and put one chocolate kiss on top. Use a little melted chocolate to serve as “glue” to attach the kiss to the cookie. Stick a small candy belt on the hat or use coloured icing to make a belt around the hat. These cookies not only look good but taste excellent as well. Spider Devilled Eggs Spider devilled eggs would be the right choice if you want a little bit of a scary twist for your classic party favourite. How to make it: Hard-boil eggs (you can do this ahead of time if you want to). After cutting the eggs in half, take out the yolks. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, and a pinch of salt. Put the yolk mixture in the hollowed-out egg white halves. Cut black olives into rings and finely slice them for 6 legs too. put one in the centre of each egg to make the body, and arrange legs around it. They are scary, decorative, and a quick Halloween snack that is still tasty and filling. Pumpkin Banana Bites If you want something healthy but still want it to look nice, pumpkin banana bites would be a good choice. How to make it: First, slice a banana into bite-sized pieces. Next, spread some peanut butter or cream cheese over the pieces. Mini chocolate chips can be used to make a jack-o’-lantern face. These are great in case you are in a hurry but still want a little treat that is fun and a bit healthier than candy. Ghost Pretzels Ghost pretzels are always a hit; they are salty, sweet, and spooky. How to make it: White chocolate should be melted in the microwave (about 30–60 seconds with a stir in between). Pretzel rods or twists should be dipped into the chocolate and then put on wax paper. Use mini chocolate chips to make eyes and a mouth. In approximately 10 minutes, they become firm, and there you have a very lovely ghost treat ready to eat. Monster Rice Krispies Treats You can prepare Monster Rice Krispies treats quickly, and they taste super yummy as well. How to make it: Prepare a basic batch of Rice Krispies treats as the first step. Cut them into squares or any other shapes of your choice. Turn them into little monsters by decorating with candy eyes, colourful icing, or sprinkles. As much as children love eating these, decorating them is also something they are very fond of, and hence, it’s a great activity and snack at the same time.
