LaNorris Sellers’ injury update
Last weekend, the Gamecocks’ quarterback suffered a major blow. During the second quarter, against Diego-Pavia-led Vanderbilt, the South Carolina quarterback received a helmet-to-helmet hit from Vanderbilt’s Langston Patterson, resulting in a concussion. Shadows of doubt lingered about his appearance against Mizzou, but Shane Beamer’s reaction said loads about the possibility. “Confident that we’ll continue to improve offensively when he gets back healthy,” he had said post-game. “But this is a heck of a team we’re getting ready to play out in Missouri… we have got to get a whole lot better. But there were a lot of good signs too last night when LaNorris is in there.”
Sellers’ absence on the turf proved costly. After Sellers headed to the sidelines, quarterback Luke Doty scrambled to gain yardage. His final three possessions ended in giveaways, whereas Diego Pavia’s offense scored 17 points, ultimately culminating in a dominant 31-7 win for the Commodores.

Much to Gamecock’s faithful’s delight, Beamers optimism flashed bright. In a recent update, CBS Sports’ reporter Matt Zenitz broke the news. “South Carolina star QB LaNorris Sellers, who was injured during last week’s game Vs. Vanderbilt is good to go for tomorrow’s game against Missouri and will start for the Gamecocks vs. the No. 23 Tigers, sources tell.”
Well, that sets it. South Carolina’s Heisman stock will be present on the field. Last campaign, he recorded 18 touchdowns and 2,534 yards, marking his entry in national conversations. Last year, He had a stellar performance against the Tigers. After throwing for 353 yards and five touchdowns, he led his team to a 34-30 win. And this weekend as well, Columbus expects the same from him. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the scales are tipped in South Carolina’s favor. They are a 12.5-point underdog against Eli Dinkwitz’s roster.
