EXCLUSIVE: Vaneast Pictures and CAA Media Finance are launching sales at the American Film Market on comedy Jacob Beats Up Nate. Lamorne Morris (New Girl), Justin Long (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story), and Naturi Naughton (Power) are starring in the movie from filmmaker J. Lee (Atypical Wednesday). Filming has wrapped in St. Louis, where the project tapped into the new local filming incentive. The ensemble also includes Lawrence J. Lee (The Orville), Travis Van Winkle (Road House), Frankie Faison (Till), Penny Johnson Jerald (BLKNews: Terms And Conditions), Seth Carr (The Main Event), and Joylin Bass in her feature debut. The film, inspired by true events, follows mild-mannered and responsible family-man Jacob Mann (Morris), as he returns to his hometown of St. Louis to be inducted into his High School Hall of Fame. Unbeknownst to his family and childhood friends, Jacob is secretly using this trip as a way to confront and finally beat up his High School bully, Nate Tagliabu (Justin Long).
