Lamar Jackson Offers Blunt Take on Ravens' 2-5 Record

Baltimore Ravens superstar Lamar Jackson is set for his return after missing multiple games due to a hamstring injury. He suffered the injury in Week 4, which led to his having to miss three games. Ahead of his return, he offered a blunt take on the team’s 2-5 record. More news: Ravens’ Marlon Humphrey Leaks Lamar Jackson Was Behind Controversial Team Change Nobody could have envisioned the Ravens would be near the bottom of the AFC. In fact, they were predicted to be the Super Bowl favorite before the 2025 season began. Even before Jackson was injured, the team was 1-2. Despite the uncharacteristic start to the season, the Ravens banded together to secure a massive Week 8 win over the Chicago Bears. The 30-16 victory helped keep the team out of missing the postseason, which is something Jackson commented on ahead of his return. Jackson took the podium to discuss how grateful he is to be back with the team, but also offered a blunt take on the current state of the Ravens. “Each and every game is going to be like a win or go home game.” pic.twitter.com/7f4HRKoWjt— Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) October 28, 2025 When talking about the 2-5 record, Jackson revealed the team is treating each game as “win or go home.” “Coach pretty much touched on that with us in the team meeting. Each and every game is going to be like a win-or-go-home game. First season ever starting off this slow, so its do or die right now,” Jackson said. Most teams that secure anything below a 9-8 record will not make the playoffs. That means the Ravens cannot afford to lose more than three more games. There is a ton of competition in the AFC, and some from teams that were not expected to be as good as they are. The Kansas City Chiefs are beginning to look as competitive as they always have, despite their slow start, and the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, and New England Patriots have all come out of nowhere. Baltimore can certainly bounce back, but they will need to start winning games. That starts with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday. Miami pulled off a huge bounce-back win against the Atlanta Falcons and may have the same confidence the Ravens do. Jackson is a big X-factor, and his return can easily propel the team into a winning streak. However, should the team lose just two more games, their margin of error will be nonexistent.
