LaFayette, NY - The LaFayette school district has named a new superintendent. Kara Lux, who is currently director of special education and grants in the Marcellus school district, will be the new district leader pending contract negotiations, the district announced today. Lux is expected to start in December or January. She would replace Daniel Bowles, who has been served as LaFayette’s interim superintendent. Bowles has been in the top job since Jeremy Belfield left in July to become the new district superintendent for CiTi BOCES in Oswego County. Lux has worked in Marcellus for eight years. Before that she worked in West Genesee schools and the Syracuse City School District.
