Lafayette parks director quits abruptly

Lafayette’s director of Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Culture abruptly submitted his resignation on Friday.
Monday was to be Tim Sensley’s final day as director for Lafayette Consolidated Government, a position he was appointed to in February 2024, Mayor President Monique Boulet confirmed.
Boulet did not go into detail on why Sensley suddenly resigned. The Acadiana Advocate is currently waiting for a copy of his letter of resignation.
“He and I had a lot of conversations. We’re dealing with personnel issues and talking about where he is in life,” Boulet said. “A lot of conversation revolved around his family.”
Sensley is originally from Clinton in East Feliciana Parish, where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1991, according to his biography page. After graduation, he played football at the then University of Southerwestern Louisiana, now University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
