LABOR’S ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM Federal parliament returns for a sitting fortnight today, and while the prime minister might not be around due to international trips, his government has certainly got plenty on its plate. The AAP reckons “controversial environment reforms and hot air from the backbench are set to steal the spotlight” as the country’s MPs make their way back to Canberra. The former is, of course, in reference to the attempts by the Albanese government to rewrite the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC), which we mentioned plenty of times last week.
