Two of the league's oldest rosters will go head-to-head in a mouth-watering NBA action when the Golden State Warriors take on conference rivals, LA Clippers, on Tuesday night. The Dubs showed grit to grind out a 131-118 win over the Memphis Grizzlies last night. It was a much-needed win after a disappointing showing on the opening weekend that saw them fall to a 139-119 defeat against the Portland Trail Blazers. Steph Curry has been the star of the show for the Warriors so far this season, averaging 33.3 PPG in all four games. He scored 100 points over the first three games, including a 42-point outing against the Nuggets. In the latest game against the Grizzlies, he added 16 points. Meanwhile, the Clippers come into the game off the back of a 2-1 start to the new season. After suffering a shock opening-day defeat to the Utah Jazz, the LA outfit have bounced back in emphatic style to register their first back-to-back win of the season, including a 114-107 win against the Blazers last night. Kawhi Leonard has been crucial to the Clippers' wins the last two games. He looks enjoying a much improved and healthy season so far. He posted 30 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists against the Blazers. He also posted 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists against the Suns. This will be his second straight game after sitting out Sunday's game against the Blazers. Jordan Miller is not expected to be ready to return from a hamstring injury. Kobe Sanders is another absence with a right knee sprain. Bogdan Bogdanovic replaced Beal in the lineup in the previous game, and he’s most likely to retain the shooting guard position alongside star duo James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. Derrick Jones Jr. and Ivica Zubac will round out the starting five. However, the 39-year-old will most likely suit up on Tuesday. The veteran center certainly showed why the Dubs signed him, showing plenty of intensity from the get-go. He'll be well prepared to match up against the Clippers' big lineup like Zubac. Alex Toohey is another player listed day-to-day as he is nursing a left knee injury. He hasn't played any games this season and is most likely to sit out this game. De'Anthony Melton remains out due to an ACL injury, and his return will be updated in the coming weeks. As for the lineup, Steve Kerr is expected to stick with the usual setup he’s been using, featuring Steph Curry and Brandin Podziemski in the backcourt, Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga on the wings, and Draymond Green anchoring the center spot.
