Kyiv Post: 30 Years of Independent Journalism

For 30 years, Kyiv Post has stood as the voice of Ukraine’s free and independent press. From a small local print edition in 1995 — to a global publication trusted by readers around the world. The anniversary celebration brought together diplomats, business leaders, politicians, journalists, and longtime friends of the publication to honor its remarkable journey and enduring mission — to tell the truth and defend freedom of speech. Among the highlights: - A special greeting from Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, Head of Ukraine’s Military Intelligence, who called Kyiv Post “a strong voice of Ukraine’s free press.” - Remarks by Chief Editor Bohdan Nahaylo, reflecting on the newspaper’s legacy and values. - Luc Chénier, CEO of Kyiv Post, shared milestones and achievements that cement the paper’s status as The Global Voice of Ukraine. - A heartfelt tribute to Adnan Kivan, Kyiv Post’s late owner, whose vision and dedication continue through his son, Ruslan Kivan. To our readers and supporters — thank you for being part of our story. Together, we continue to stand for truth, resilience, and Ukraine’s free press.
