KTR condemns Revanth Reddy’s remarks insulting Indian Army, demands apology

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's remarks insulting the Indian Army during a recent election rally in Jubilee Hills constituency and demanded an unconditional apology to the Indian Army and the people of Telangana. He said it was a new low, even by the Chief Minister's low standards. In a statement, Rama Rao said it takes immense hard work, discipline, and love for the nation to serve in the armed forces. He reminded that politicians were safe and able to do politics, have normal lives, and live with their families because the men in the uniform toil at the borders in the most cruel conditions. "You want to put down the Indian Army and praise Pakistan for what? Withdraw your words immediately and apologise to the Indian Army," he demanded, adding that such comments were unbecoming of a Chief Minister who represents a State like Telangana. Taking a sharp dig at Revanth Reddy, Rama Rao said for a man caught with bags of cash, it was only natural to worship goondas and rowdy sheeters. "But since you represent this State, can you act a little decently? Can you stop worshipping enemy nations and insulting our soldiers?" he asked.
