Kris Boyd Labels Danny Rohl Appointment Process a 'Shambles'

Rangers recently confirmed the appointment of Danny Rohl as their new manager, and former Ibrox striker Kris Boyd has labelled the whole recruitment process a 'shambles'. It's been a difficult process for the Gers, with a host of different deals falling through over the last few weeks. Steven Gerrard looked set to take over, but GIVEMESPORT understands that he pulled out at the last minute, despite a move being close to being agreed, as he felt it wasn't the right time to return to the club. GIVEMESPORT reported on Monday that Rangers were back in talks with Rohl, despite the former Sheffield Wednesday manager initially pulling out of the race. Kevin Muscat did look set to make the move to Ibrox, where he previously spent time as a player, but that also fell through late in the process. Kris Boyd: Rangers Manager Process a 'Shambles' Speaking on Sky Sports, Boyd suggested that the Rangers appointment process has 'been a shambles'. "It's been a shambles. There's no getting away from it. Rangers will tell you they had to get through a process to get to Danny Rohl." Boyd also lumped the pressure on Rohl early doors, suggesting that he has to get results at Ibrox. "There's a lot of inconsistencies, but look, Rohl is the main that's been named now as the new Rangers head coach, and I'll say it again, he has to get results."
